Therapy grounded in steadiness, insight, and care

Wayfinding offers individual therapy for adults who are capable, thoughtful, and often quietly exhausted. Many clients arrive functioning well on the outside while carrying anxiety, burnout, or long-standing patterns shaped by early responsibility or chronic stress.

Therapy here is collaborative, trauma-informed, and paced with care. The focus is on building stability first, then supporting meaningful and lasting change.

Individual Therapy

Individual therapy at Wayfinding is designed to support both emotional depth and day-to-day functioning. Sessions are conversational and reflective, with room for insight, skill-building, and nervous system regulation.

People often seek therapy here for:

  • Anxiety, chronic stress, and burnout

  • Perfectionism, self-criticism, or internal pressure

  • Emotional numbness, disconnection, or feeling “outside”

  • Relationship patterns rooted in early family dynamics

  • Life transitions, identity shifts, or leadership strain

Our work may explore how past experiences continue to shape present reactions, while also developing practical ways to feel steadier and more grounded in daily life.

Sessions are typically 50–60 minutes and offered via telehealth or in person (availability noted separately).

Trauma-Informed Therapy & EMDR

For clients who want to address the deeper roots of distress, Wayfinding offers trauma-informed therapy, including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).

EMDR can be especially helpful for:

  • Childhood emotional neglect or chronic relational stress

  • Attachment-related patterns

  • Performance anxiety or lingering self-doubt

  • Experiences that are difficult to think about without becoming overwhelmed

  • Reactions that feel automatic or out of proportion

This work is always approached thoughtfully and at a pace that supports safety and stability. Preparation and resourcing come first. There is no pressure to move faster than your system is ready for.

Extended sessions may be recommended for EMDR or deeper processing when clinically appropriate.

Approach & Modalities

Therapy at Wayfinding integrates:

  • Trauma-informed care

  • Parts-based and attachment-oriented therapy

  • EMDR

  • Mindfulness, grounding, and regulation strategies

  • Practical communication and boundary-setting skills

The approach is flexible rather than formulaic. We use what fits you, not a one-size-fits-all model.

Who This Work Is For

Wayfinding tends to be a strong fit for people who:

  • Are high-achieving, creative, or in leadership roles

  • Feel responsible, capable, and often “the steady one”

  • Are tired of pushing themselves to cope

  • Value depth, nuance, and thoughtful conversation

  • Want therapy that feels calm, grounded, and relational

If you’re looking for therapy that respects your intelligence, sensitivity, and complexity, you’re likely in the right place.

Getting Started

If you’re interested in working together, the next step is to reach out through the contact page. We’ll discuss availability, fit, and any questions you may have before scheduling.

You don’t need a clear plan or perfect language to begin. Curiosity and readiness for something steadier are enough.

A longer first session that allows time to understand your history, current concerns, and goals.

  • Individual therapy (50 minutes): $185
Ongoing therapy sessions focused on insight, regulation, and sustainable change.

  • Extended sessions / EMDR (75–90 minutes): $295

  • Administrative services outside of session time (including FLMA and disability letters, workplace accommodations, ESA, and documentation requests) are billed separately.

Insurance & Payment

Wayfinding does not bill insurance directly. Many clients choose private-pay therapy for the added flexibility, privacy, and individualized approach it allows.

If you have out-of-network benefits, a superbill can be provided upon request.

Payment is due at the time of session and processed through a secure, HIPAA-compliant system.

A note about fit
